Christmas Ornaments for Bakers

Project 365 Photography Challenge – #2

I have a confession — I’m one of those people who hates to take their Christmas tree down. It’s so bright and cheerful, and the lights add a magical flair at night. But, alas, it’s January 2 and it’s time to take down the tree. But before I remove the ornaments and pack them away, I wanted to share two of my favorite ornaments with you. I have been working to collect fun and cute baking-related ornaments. These would also be good for others who love to bake.

NOTE: My new Canon 50mm 1.4 USM lens arrived today and I just pulled it out of the box, unpacked, attached it to the camera, and started taking photos.  The focus is not as accurate as it should be. Hopefully, I’ll figure out how to use this new lens properly soon. So far, I love the bokeh that it creates, and I assume it will get better once I actually sit down and figure out how to use it.

Do you collect tree ornaments of any kind? If so, tell me about them below.

Angela

I started this blog as a way to become a better cook, baker and host. I also want to share my experiences traveling to restaurants, trying new recipes, reviewing cooking tools, and my attempts to DIY projects related to dining and entertaining. I look forward to your future visits and comments. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I don’t collect ornaments; I no longer put up a tree. My family is up North, so I don’t see them at Christmas time, and I don’t feel like putting it up for only me.

However, I love your cooking ornaments. They’re adorable. My daughter loves to cook and would love these. Thanks for putting in details where to buy them.

Great shot, Angie. You’re right about the bokeh, too.

    1. I totally understand about not putting up the tree. It’s a bit of work, but I have a small reusable tree so it makes it a bit easier. Thanks for the support!

  2. Great shot.
The 50mm lens is my next lens! I’ll be dropping in from time to time as well to see your Project 365!
    Good luck! :)

  3. I too, have a collection of baking ornaments. I have a slender tree that I put in my kitchen each year and it holds all things kitcheney (I think that should be a word) I also hate to put away Christmas. It makes me sad! Love all your photos for the 365 project! — Kristy

    1. Thanks so much Kristy! I am working toward my very own bakery / kitcheney tree (I say it’s a word because you made it :-) ). I really hated to take my tree down, but it had to go. Thanks for stopping by.
